Wellbeing and Mental Health at The Stable School
We are committed to providing all our learners with rich and diverse experiences which promote their wellbeing, as well as their personal and social development.
We know that in order to secure positive outcomes for our learners, promoting and prioritising positive mental health is essential.
We are proud to work with specialists including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Trauma Informed School Diploma Practitioners, and ELSA trained staff, to support learners’ emotional wellbeing and resilience.
At The Stable School we are fully committed to promoting staff wellbeing in our school as this is essential for creating a positive and productive environment. By prioritizing the mental and physical health of our staff, we ensure they are equipped to provide the best possible education for our learners. Implementing regular wellness programs which are led by staff members on a termly basis such as ‘The Stable Fitness Sound Bath’, offering Wellbeing Wednesday sampling gifts such as sleeping aids and hand cream along with supporting our local Food Bank and Friday Feast!
Together with this we offer professional development opportunities. We know that fostering a supportive community can significantly enhance staff morale and job satisfaction. Encouraging open communication, recognizing achievements, and providing resources for stress management are also key strategies. When our staff feel valued and supported, they are more likely to be engaged, motivated, and committed to their roles, ultimately benefiting the entire school community.

It can feel especially hard if your child’s mood and behaviour seem different and you’re not sure why, or what you can do to help. But you are not alone.” (Young Minds 2020)
